Authorities are continuing an intensive investigation into the disappearance of Guthrie as new evidence and investigative leads keep the case under close scrutiny.
A major development occurred on the night of February 13, when multiple law-enforcement agencies, including SWAT teams and forensic investigators, executed a search warrant at a property located about two miles from Guthrie’s home. The overnight operation resulted in three people being temporarily detained, while a silver or gray Range Rover was seized for further examination.
Despite the significant police response, authorities stressed that the operation should not be interpreted as a confirmed breakthrough. The three individuals were later released, and no arrests have been announced. Investigators said the search was conducted to follow up on leads rather than because authorities had definitive evidence connecting those individuals to Guthrie’s disappearance.
Investigators have also uncovered evidence inside Guthrie’s home that has raised additional questions. Blood belonging to Guthrie was reportedly found inside the residence, along with indications of unusual activity. Her doorbell camera and pacemaker monitoring system were also disconnected around the time she disappeared.
Authorities are examining surveillance footage that shows an unidentified male and are analyzing DNA evidence that reportedly does not match Guthrie or people immediately connected to her. Investigators have not publicly identified the man as a suspect, and no individual has been formally charged in connection with the case.
The investigation has also been complicated by alleged ransom messages seeking cryptocurrency. Officials have not confirmed whether the messages are authentic or directly connected to the disappearance.
As the investigation enters its third week, authorities have increased the reward for information and continue urging the public to provide surveillance footage, eyewitness accounts, or any other information that could help investigators establish Guthrie’s whereabouts.
Family members, including her daughter Savannah Guthrie, continue to appeal for information and hope for her safe return.
