STOCKTON, Calif. — A birthday celebration meant to bring families together ended in devastating violence when gunfire erupted during a child’s party in north Stockton, killing four people—including three children—and leaving more than a dozen others wounded.
The shooting happened on the evening of November 29, 2025, at a banquet hall near Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road, where roughly 100 to 150 people had gathered for a family celebration. Authorities said the victims included children and adults, turning what should have been a joyful occasion into one of the city’s most painful recent tragedies.
According to investigators, the victims who died were 8, 9, 14 and 21 years old. At least 11 other people were initially reported wounded, with subsequent reporting putting the total number injured at 13 or more.
