The deceptive posts, which circulated across multiple digital platforms in mid-September, were designed to mimic legitimate emergency news alerts. The graphics prominently displayed fake Fox News branding, accompanied by sensational headlines claiming the crash happened “minutes ago.”
However, comprehensive reviews of federal aviation data, emergency response registries, and primary international press feeds reveal zero corroborating evidence. Neither Fox News nor any other established broadcast network has published reports of a crash, and official spokespersons for the Biden family have not issued any emergency notices.
Anatomy of an Online Hoax
Disinformation watchdogs note that the viral alert exhibits the classic hallmarks of coordinated clickbait and social media deception:
