WASHINGTON — An Iranian news outlet closely tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has released a propaganda video that encourages attacks on First Lady Melania Trump and issues a direct threat against the president’s youngest son, Barron Trump.
The roughly two-minute clip, circulated by Tasnim News Agency under titles including “How to Kill Melania Trump” and “Where to Kill Melania?!,” features images of the first lady in her motorcade and at locations in New York City. It highlights upscale shopping destinations she is known to frequent and suggests those settings could present opportunities for what it calls “global freedom fighters.” The video concludes with a warning directed at Barron Trump, then 20 years old: “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”
The Secret Service confirmed it is aware of the video and investigates any perceived threat to its protectees. The agency declined to comment further on operational details. Both the first lady and Barron Trump receive full-time Secret Service protection. All primary Trump family residences—the White House, Trump Tower in New York, the Bedminster club in New Jersey, and Mar-a-Lago in Florida—remain under heightened security.
The release is not an isolated incident. Since the start of the current conflict with Iran, which followed a joint U.S.-Israel operation that eliminated the regime’s supreme leader and other senior figures, the Trump family has faced repeated targeting in Iranian propaganda. Last week, billboards appeared across Tehran calling for the deaths of President Donald Trump and members of his family, including Melania and all of his children. Some displays carried slogans such as “Blood for blood.” Others featured mocked-up images of Melania, Barron, and Ivanka Trump with the word “KILLED” stamped across them.
Melania Trump has maintained a lower public profile in recent weeks. She did not attend the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Friday; a source close to her cited a scheduling conflict.
President Trump has addressed the broader pattern of threats directly. Earlier this month, citing Iranian threats, he switched from the newer Air Force One to an older model while departing Turkey after a NATO meeting. Speaking to reporters, he noted that he has long been on Iranian target lists and stated that he has left instructions for a severe response should any attack succeed.
The video and related billboards form part of a sustained Iranian information campaign amid the ongoing military confrontation. U.S. officials and security analysts view the material as an effort to intimidate the first family and project resolve even as the regime faces significant battlefield and strategic setbacks. The Secret Service’s protective measures for Melania and Barron Trump, along with the president’s public statements on deterrence, underscore the seriousness with which American authorities are treating the threats.
