TUCSON, Ariz. — The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, remains unsolved as investigators continue working to determine what happened after she vanished from her Tucson home earlier this year.
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, 2026, after she was last seen at her residence in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood on the evening of Jan. 31. Investigators have described her as a vulnerable adult who has difficulty walking, uses a pacemaker and requires daily medication for a heart condition.
🚨 Surveillance Video Raises New Questions
Authorities have been closely examining surveillance footage from the area surrounding Nancy’s home as they attempt to establish a detailed timeline.
The FBI has released video appearing to show an armed individual tampering with a camera at Nancy’s front door on the morning she disappeared. Investigators are asking the public to help identify the person and determine whether the individual may have information relevant to the case.
Residents have also been encouraged to review doorbell and security-camera recordings for unfamiliar people, vehicles or other activity that could provide investigators with additional leads.
🧤 Physical Evidence Under Examination
Investigators have examined physical evidence recovered during the search, including a glove reportedly discovered several miles from Nancy’s home.
Authorities have not publicly established that the glove is connected to Nancy’s disappearance. Investigators continue to evaluate physical and forensic evidence alongside digital records, surveillance footage and tips submitted by the public.
No person has been publicly identified as responsible for Nancy’s disappearance.
⚠️ Family Under Intense Public Attention
The case has attracted widespread attention because of Nancy’s relationship to Savannah Guthrie. Online speculation has circulated about the family and possible circumstances surrounding the disappearance, but authorities have urged the public to focus on verified information rather than unsubstantiated theories.
đź’° FBI Offers $100,000 Reward
The FBI says a reward of up to $100,000 is available for information leading to Nancy’s location and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
Her whereabouts remain unknown.
For investigators, the search continues with one central objective: follow the evidence, establish what happened and bring Nancy Guthrie home.
